I'm Kinesiologist working in St. John's, NL. I am the lead trainer for our Safe Patient Handling Program. I am excited for this portfolio to share a little about my professional life and what I am learning through my Masters of Health Studies program.

I'm currently working as a Kinesiologist in Eastern Health. I am the lead trainer for our Safe Patient Resident Handling Program. As a member of the Workplace Health, Safety and EFAP department our mission is to reduce musculoskeletal injuries in our nursing staff.

Western Health
As a member of the Occupational Rehabilitation and Ergonomic Services Department (ORES) I was tasked with completing ergonomic assessments in the Western Region. I was also a part of a team that introduced a Safe Patient Handling program to the region.

I am currently completing a Masters of Health Studies. I am already learning a great deal and am excited about what is to come. Completing my masters degree has been a personal goal of mine.

I completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology through Memorial University. My first two years of the degree I completed in my hometown of Corner Brook at the Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Campus.

Regina High School
I was a member of the 50th graduating class from Regina High School. Unfortunately, this was the second last graduating class. The decreased population in Corner Brook caused the school to close its doors.
